Supervision

Supervisor+Badge+250x250.png

I offer warm, supportive and thoughtfully reflective clinical supervision for counsellors and trainee counsellors, in person in Chorley and online across the UK.

I see supervision as a collaborative relationship where you can bring your client work, your questions, your uncertainties and your strengths. It is a space to pause, think and feel into the work, to notice what may be happening for your clients and for you, and to deepen your confidence in the way you practice.

My approach is relational, compassionate and gently challenging. I aim to create a space where you feel safe enough to be open and honest, without fear of judgement. Alongside exploring client work, supervision can also be a place to reflect on ethical dilemmas, professional development, self-trust and the emotional impact of the work.

My supervision is trauma-informed and neurodiversity-affirming. I understand that people experience, process and communicate in different ways, and I value working in a way that honours this. I aim to adapt supervision to you as an individual, including your pace, communication style and way of making sense of things, so that you can feel able to show up as yourself.

I originally trained in person-centred counselling and now work integratively, drawing on additional training in EMDR, CBT, NLP, Compassion Focused Therapy and EFT. My experience includes private practice, EAP work and specialist bereavement support, including bereavement by suicide.

I offer supervision for qualified and trainee counsellors working face to face, online or by telephone. I also offer a free initial 20-minute session so we can get a sense of whether working together feels like a good fit.

My approach to supervision

My supervision work is grounded in a compassion-focused and relational approach, drawing on the Seven-Eyed Model of Supervision. This means we can explore not only the client work itself, but also:

  • what may be happening in the therapeutic relationship

  • how the work is affecting you

  • how you may be affecting the work

  • wider patterns, themes, and professional dynamics

  • ethical questions and areas of uncertainty

  • your growth, confidence, and development as a practitioner

I see supervision as much more than case management. Good supervision should give you space to reflect, feel supported, and grow in a way that fits both you and your way of working.

I aim to offer a supervision relationship where you can bring your questions, uncertainties, frustrations, and successes without fear of judgement.

Who I offer supervision to

I offer supervision for:

  • qualified counsellors

  • trainee and student counsellors

  • counsellors working in private practice

  • counsellors working online, by telephone, or face to face

  • therapists who would value a warm, thoughtful, trauma-informed and neurodiversity-aware supervisory space

Whether you are newly qualified, still in training, or more experienced and looking for a supervisor who feels like the right fit, I offer a space where your work can be explored with care, curiosity, and honesty.

My background and experience

I have been a qualified counsellor since 2018. I originally trained in person-centred counselling, and over time I have continued to develop my practice in a more integrative way. My additional training includes approaches and areas such as:

  • EMDR

  • CBT

  • NLP

  • Compassion Focused Therapy

  • EFT (tapping)

  • online and telephone counselling

  • trauma-informed practice

  • clinical supervision

I currently work in private practice and have previously worked in services offering EAP counselling and specialist bereavement counselling, including support for people bereaved by suicide. I also have experience working with anxiety, low self-esteem, bereavement, and emotional wellbeing in a range of settings.

Areas I may be particularly well placed to support

My experience may be especially helpful if your client work includes themes such as:

  • anxiety and stress

  • low self-esteem

  • bereavement and loss

  • trauma

  • neurodiversity

  • online or telephone counselling work

You do not need to work exactly as I do in order for supervision to be useful. What matters most is that you have a space that feels safe, thoughtful, and constructive.

Finding the right supervisor

Supervision, like counselling itself, is a relational process. It is important to find a supervisor who feels like a good fit for you — someone who can support you, challenge you appropriately, and help you reflect in a way that suits your style of working.

If you are looking for counselling supervision in Chorley or online supervision, you are very welcome to get in touch to ask questions or arrange an initial session to see whether working together feels right.
