Change Therapies

You may (or may not) have noticed a slight change to my website recently, a new focus on change. Well, after some amazing training on metaphors and NLP the last two weekends I decided to change the focus of my work to change therapies alongside the counselling, to put more of an emphasis on the change side of things, but what are change therapies? And how can they help you?

I think that whom ever you talk to will have a different take on change therapies, for me it is simple, change therapies are different therapies that help you to make changes to you and your life, changes to how you manage your emotions, changes to how you react to situations, changes to your day to day life (for example going for the job role you always wanted), basically any type of change, big or small.

Change is the act or process of doing something differently, it can be an extremely scary thing. It brings unknowns with it, often, as much as we want to or need to make a change it is hard to make the move to do so because of the fear of the unknown. Even if we are in a place that is horrible and/or uncomfortable, that place can seem safer than jumping into the unknown Change therapies can help and support you to make this leap into the unknown, to make the changes that you want and need in your life.

Change therapies involve all sorts of different sorts of therapies, I use counselling, Integral Eye Movement Therapy (IEMT), Emotional Freedom Techniques (EFT), Metaphors of Movement ( a process of looking at where you are right now and what can help you to move on from that) and Neuro Linguistic Programming to support you to discover exactly what it is you want, where it is you want to be and how you are going to get there as well as how you will deal with any obstacles that may come up. I never have a set ‘treatment plan’ I work with you to individually tailor the work we will do together to your unique needs. Have a look round the website to find out more about the different things I offer, why not get in touch and see what I can do to help you make changes that work for you.
